About
Cameron Stopak
Hello! My name is Cameron Stopak, and I want to be a full-time UI/UX designer. I received my certification of completion of the UI/UX course at Ohio State University's College of Engineering. I am eager to learn more about the front-end development process, create unique and exciting designs, and be part of an excellent team.
Work Experience
I was a leasing consultant for a few years before I pivoted into UI/UX design. As a leasing agent at Lifestyle Communities, I achieved a lot in sales: I sold one million dollars in revenue before my first year was over. I also enjoyed my time selling suites at Preferred Living in central Ohio. I pivoted into UI/UX because I was craving a more creative experience where I could watch my work become actualized from start to finish.
Personal Life
Outside of work, I am a blue belt in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. I love to compete in tournaments and train as much as possible. If I am not at Jiu Jitsu, I am either at home lifting weights, fidgeting around on Figma, or watching something on YouTube, Netflix, etc.
Why I design
I am already interested in things similar to design. Jiu Jitsu is very similar to design. You can become very skilled in design or Jiu Jitsu, but it is impossible to perfect either skill. You are in a constant pursuit of becoming better. I love that pursuit. I don't want to come to an end of something I enjoy. I love design because it is an endless road of unique possibilities and improvements.
